Expanded Service — 7 Days a Week

Beginning October 1, public transit service will be available seven days a week under the new operation agreement with ETA & TransDev:

  • Monday–Friday: 5:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

 

Socorro public transit remains FREE.

Micro Transit

By City Policy, absolutely no campaigning or campaign propaganda are allowed in or on City Property nor events held on City Property which include City Buses. 

Effective October 1, 2026

Beginning October 1, 2026, the City of Socorro is expanding public transportation opportunities for our community. The City has contracted with the El Paso Transportation Authority (ETA) & TransDev to provide public transit services through Socorro ¡Avanzando!, offering residents more destinations, more days of service, and greater connections throughout the region.

Under the new service agreement, residents will have connections to Socorro, the Mission Valley Transit Center, El Paso Community College (EPCC), San Elizario, Clint, Horizon, Sparks, and other destinations available through ETA’s transportation network.

Rio Vista Senior Citizen Transportation Program

The City of Socorro will continue to maintain and operate the Rio Vista Senior Citizen Transportation Program. This service will remain separate from the ETA-operated public transit service and will continue providing transportation assistance for eligible senior program participants.
