🌟 Socorro Celebrates Small Business of the Quarter Honorees! 🌟
SOCORRO, TEXAS – The City of Socorro is thrilled to announce the honorees for our Small Business of the Quarter for Quarter 1 of 2025! These recognitions celebrate the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit of the Socorro business community and spotlight two businesses that exemplify excellence, innovation, and community-focused service.
During the June 5th, regular City Council meeting, the City Council unanimously recognized The Dusty Tap as Socorro Small Business of the Quarter in the Food & Cafe Category and LITS Shoe Repair & Boots in the All Other Business Category for the 1st Quarter of 2025.
The Dusty Tap – Food & Cafe Category
Located at 10297 Socorro Rd, Socorro, TX 79927, The Dusty Tap opened their doors in May 2022, and has since provided a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere for residents and tourists along the Historic Mission Trail. Owned by Mike and Celina Carrillo, this gem embodies the essence of what it means to “shop local”, creating memorable experiences while investing in our local culture and economy. We are proud to call The Dusty Tap the Socorro Small Business of the Quarter in the Food & Cafe Category and encourage residents and visitors alike to visit The Dusty Tap for great food and great beers on tap.
LITS Shoe Repair – All Other Business Category
Located at 10089 North Loop Rd., Socorro, TX 79927, LITS Shoe Repair opened its doors in February 2023 and has since provided excellent shoe repair services and high-quality handmade boots, belts, wallets, and accessories to our community. Run by Sergio Mora and Yuridia Terrazas, LITS Shoe Repair has built a reputation for top-tier craftsmanship, blending traditional skill with modern styles. We are proud to call LITS Shoe Repair the Socorro Small Business of the Quarter in the All Other Business Category and encourage the Socorro community to freshen up their boots and find one-of-a-kind leather accessories just in time for summer at LITS Shoe Repair.

To help promote our local businesses and support our growing small business sector, the City of Socorro’s Economic Recovery Office (ERO) has created a quarterly recognition for small businesses located in Socorro. Each quarter, the Small Business of the Quarter Initiative will highlight one standout local business in the following categories:
