Let us Celebrate Socorro!

On December 13, 2023, the Rio Vista Farm was officially designated a National Historic Landmark by the Secretary of the Interior, categorizing it with the same importance as the Alamo or Lincoln Memorial!

Throughout its 101 years—from beginnings as a poor farm to sheltering of children during the Great Depression and point of entry for the Bracero Program—Rio Vista Farm has shaped the region and helped establish a foundation for modern Mexican-American communities.

The City of Socorro is celebrating the National Historic Landmark Designation of the Rio Vista Farm and we want you to celebrate this achievement with us!

Join us May 11th at the Rio Vista Farm, located at 901 N Rio Vista Rd, from 6-10 PM for an evening of culture and heritage with performances by @fronterabugalu and @companiaculturalida food, vendors and much more!
