Serenity Ranch – Equine Therapy with a Mission
SOCORRO, TEXAS – June 2, 2022 – The Economic Recovery Office congratulates Serenity Ranch on its recognition by the City Council of Socorro on June 2, 2022. Serenity Ranch was recognized via Resolution 700 for its excellence in serving the community. Serenity Ranch is one of only two equine therapy facilities in the El Paso County metropolitan area. We are delighted to have a dedicated and committed couple such as Ildefonso & Stephanie Carrera who started this project just two years ago and have made it a reality.
Serenity Ranch offers therapeutic riding, hippotherapy, physical therapy, and occupational and speech therapy on-site to both children and adults with autism, paraplegia, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, intellectual disability, attention deficit disorder, developmental disability, and hearing and visually impaired. Their instructors are certified by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH).
The Carrera’s have hopes that they can build a swimming pool therapy component to enhance their services to best fit the needs of each individual. We congratulate Serenity Ranch and wish them continued success in Socorro as it expands its services to all of El Paso county.
